I am pleased to announce that Meteor is collaborating with Coursera and the University of London. Lecturer Matthew Yee-King is presenting the Responsive Website Development and Design Specialization, which brings students with no prior experience the opportunity to learn to build a fully functional web application from scratch. Students will learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, using Meteor for the development environment. The classes include video lectures, quizzes, and programming exercises that start with the basics and continue into mobile development, testing, using external APIs like Google Maps, and other advanced topics. The specialization is taught in five classes, concluding with a capstone project of the student’s choice to make a portfolio web app. Students who complete all of the specialization will earn a certificate from Coursera. Meteor will be participating in the class with office hours, participant stories, and recognition for top projects.
